I was born and raised in North Central WV down a country road that leads to a place with no name, seriously, it’s not on a map. Music has always been a big part of my life, and is the reason I got into radio in the first place, because there are not many jobs in the music industry in WV for someone who can’t play an instrument. You know what they say, those who can’t do become radio DJs…wait, is that right? Country music is just a part of being a West Virginian, it’s the story of our lives. I remember as a child watching “Coal Miner’s Daughter” the bio-pic about Loretta Lynn and I’ve been in love with her since! My other favorite country artists are Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, and Merle Haggard…I know my taste in country is very old, but to me that’s just good music! I’m just a music loving, good ‘ole country gal who loves being outdoors and having fun with my friends and family…whether it’s cookouts, going to concerts or hanging out at the river on the weekends…not this River, the actual river.
