Woodland Hills students, volunteers plant trees around high school

Woodland Hills High School students, volunteers from U.S. Steel, the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, Tree Pittsburgh, the Arbor Day Foundation and representatives from the Davey Resource Group planted 34 trees around the high school Wednesday.

This is the second such event held by U.S. Steel’s Steel Sustainability Employee Resource Group. The first was held at Wilkinsburg Elementary, where volunteers worked alongside 75 students to plant 23 trees on school grounds.
