Ohio Lineman Maurice Hamilton Commits to Mountaineers

The West Virginia Mountaineers have added some more beef to their offensive line and this time they aren’t playing around. Cleveland, Ohio native Maurice Hamilton, a 6’-4”, 345 pound mammoth of a man has joined the team. Hamilton, a solid 3-star in the 247 rankings (86) and the composite (0.8577), committed to the Mountaineers following his official visit on June 4.

Maurice’s commitment gives the Mountaineers three linemen in the current class - Sullivan Weidman who committed in April of 2021 and Charlie Katarincic who committed in March of 2021. We would expect the Mountaineers’ coaching staff to target a couple more linemen with the current class.

Hamilton’s commitment shows the current staff’s desire to build pipelines in and around the state of West Virginia. They continue to travel around to surrounding states and build relationships to help bring kids from Ohio, Maryland and Pennsylvania to the Mountain State. Let’s Go!
