However, he was quite noticeable in the team’s last game against the Buffalo Sabres, even scoring a goal on four shots. Cody Ceci arrived in Pittsburgh during the 2020 offseason with many skeptics questioning the Jim Rutherford-led transaction. At the time, it was argued that Ceci was a below-average defenseman whose time with the Toronto Maple Leafs did him no favors in showing that he was a legitimate NHL-caliber player.
