Here are your Pens Points for this Tuesday morning...

The Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Islanders clashed once again at PPG Paints Arena last night, as both teams looked to win their third game out of four needed to advance to the second round. The Penguins played a solid game. They put 50 shots on Isles goalie Ilya Sorokin, with the Russian rookie making 48 saves. But this game will forever be remembered for an all-time horrendous gaffe from Tristan Jarry in double overtime. [Recap]

Speaking of super Sorokin, the 25-year-old is the latest netminder to have the Penguins’ number in the postseason. [Trib Live]

Goaltender Casey DeSmith is still on the mend. He once again missed yesterday’s morning skate and did not dress for last night’s contest. [Trib Live]

Jake Guentzel and Jared McCann were two of the better Penguins forwards during the regular season. Guentzel even came in second on the team in points behind Sidney Crosby. But through the first five games of this playoff series, their names have rarely been on the scoresheet. [Trib Live]

Ovechkin, who will turn 36 in September, is not ready to discuss his future with the only team he’s ever known. [NHL]

Exciting Montreal Canadiens forward prospect Cole Caufield made his NHL playoff debut last night. [Eyes On The Prize]
