RECRUITING ALERT: Michigan Safety Christion Stokes Commits To WVU

The Mountaineers continue to build their 2022 class and this time they added one of their top defensive targets in Michigan safety Christion Stokes. Currently the 13th ranked player in the state of Michigan, Stokes holds multiple Power 5 offers including Maryland, Penn State, Iowa and Michigan State among others.

The Mountaineers coaching staff and the entire state seemed to truly make a difference on Stokes.

“The coaches, the people and the love you get at West Virginia is unreal,” Stokes said. “Everywhere you look that WVU is flying. They’re in the process of building something great. The stat changes and their overall team GPA shows that they are for real about this program. Top pass defense and over a 3.0 team GPA since Coach Brown and his staff have taken over.”

Stokes commitment gives the Mountaineers 13 players in their current class and likely means that Jaden Mangham is next to commit as Stokes and Mangham have been seen as somewhat of a packaged deal.
