It was a chilly and overcast day in Western Pennsylvania on Tuesday, the type of day that reminds you hockey season is starting to get into full swing. It was another day off for the Pittsburgh Penguins, the third of this four day break which will come to an end on Thursday when cross-state rivals the Philadelphia Flyers come to town for the first meeting of the season.

Playing games without the services of Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letnag, and Bryan Rust led to some rough results for the Penguins. Although their absence is temporary for now, the reality is it could become permanent as soon as this offseason. [Pensburgh]

A former Wilkes-Barre/Scranton assistant coach and his wife filed a sexual assault lawsuit against the Penguins on Tuesday. The lawsuit names the Penguins, former assistant general manager Bill Guerin, and the Penguins ownership group in the complaint. [Sporting News]
