The West Virginia Mountaineers will honor the members of the military armed forces this Saturday when they wear their State American Flag helmets. The helmets which have the state of West Virginia shown as a American Flag with the stars and stripes, have been a tradition of the Mountaineers to honor the military for several years now.

The actual combination - white / blue / white is no stranger to one-off helmets. The Mountaineers wore this combination when they wore their throwback helmets against Kansas State in 2014. This will be the fourth time the Mountaineers have worn this combination and it will be the first time the Mountaineers have worn it under Neal Brown.

Speaking of coach, he is not a fan of worrying about uniforms. He said this on Tuesday in his press conference.

It is literally one of my least favorite things to deal with is uniforms. I’ve got people like you and (WVU associate athletic director Michael) Fragale who are die-hards, and this is what they want to wear. Then I’ve got the whole locker room and everyone who is a potential player, more like (MSN play-by-play announcer Tony) Caridi’s kind of style, and they want another thing. So, whatever I do, I’m wrong with half of them. We haven’t made a decision yet. You ever heard the leadership thing where they say sometimes it’s better not to make a decision, and let someone else make it for you? That’s kind of what I try to do on uniforms.

Sorry coach but we love the uniforms and definitely look forward to the uniform reveal.
