Wolfgang Van Halen Responds To David Lee Roth’s “This F**kin’ Kid” Diss, Declaring “I’m Not A Kid”

On the latest episode of the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast, Wolfgang Van Halen addressed David Lee Roth’s 2024 YouTube rant that insulted him and dismissed him as “this fu**in’ kid.” Without naming Roth directly, Wolfgang called the two-hour monologue of unfounded accusations, including claims of nepotism and misbehavior, totally unwarranted, while adding, “I’ve always been a punching bag. It is just whatever…. I’m a 34-year-old married man with a third album. I’m not a kid.” Wolfgang also confirmed tensions between Roth and Alex Van Halen over failed Van Halen reunion plans, which stems from DLR not wanting to pay tribute to Eddie Van Halen during the shows. “Unfortunately, some people just can’t get it working,” Wolfgang said in reference to Roth. Wolfgang is currently touring in support of his new Mammoth album, The End, which debuted in the Top 20 of Billboard’s Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Independent Albums charts following its release on October 24.
