AC/DC’s ‘Back In Black’ Video Tops 1 Billion Views On YouTube

The video for AC/DC‘s classic song “Back in Black” has reached one billion views on YouTube.

“Back in Black” becomes the Australian band’s second visual to join the Billion Views club, following their hit “Thunderstruck.”

In the music video, the group performs the hit song on a small stage, as frontman Brian Johnson belts, “Back in black / I hit the sack / I’ve been too long, I’m glad to be back.”

“Back in Black” was released as the second single from AC/DC’s seventh album of the same name in 1980 through Atlantic Records.

Notable for its opening guitar riff, the song was written as a tribute to the band’s former singer Bon Scott, who died suddenly in February 1980.

Back In Black peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and was the band’s first top 10 album.
