Niji Entertainment and BMG are set to re-release Ronnie James Dio‘s legendary live performances at the Donington Festival in the U.K., Dio at Donington ’83 and Dio at Donington ’87, on September 23.
Dio at Donington ’83 captures Dio’s original lineup that performed on the “Holy Diver” tour, about three months after the release of their first album. The set features Dio’s classic tracks for Rainbow and Black Sabbath as well songs such as “Holy Diver,” “Rainbow In The Dark” and “Stand Up And Shout.”
Dio at Donington ’87 captures the Dream Evil lineup and features classics including “The Last In Line,” “Rock ‘N’ Roll Children” and “All The Fools Sailed Away.”
The two discs also contain renditions of both Rainbow and Black Sabbath classics, including “Man On The Silver Mountain,” “Neon Knights,” “Stargazer” and “Heaven And Hell”.
