Multi-platinum selling rock band Fall Out Boy recently announced the release of So Much (For) Stardust on vinyl.
The first-of-its-kind Crynyl record, limited to just 50 copies, features one double-sided LP sealed with the band’s tears. Each Crynyl comes packaged in a gatefold box with a built-in, fully functional tissue dispenser.
Fall Out Boy created the Crynyl record in partnership with Los Angeles based art studio BRAIN. The band had teased Crynyl’s arrival last month with a mysterious post showcing Pete Wentz extracting said tears.
In a video shared to Instagram, Wentz shed a few tears, which are then collected and worked into the vinyl for “maximum emotional fidelity.”
“If you don’t get your hands on one, we will be giving a few away soon,” the band’s official Instagram page wrote on Monday.
So Much (For) Stardust, which is Fall Out Boy’s eighth studio album, debuted as the No. 1 Rock Album upon its release on March 24.
