Legendary rock band Foo Fighters have revealed that Josh Freese will be their new touring drummer.
The replacement for Taylor Hawkins was introduced by the rock band during the “Foo Fighters: Preparing Music for Concerts” livestream event on Sunday.
Freese is a prolific session and touring drummer who has played with many bands, including Guns N’ Roses, A Perfect Circle, and Nine Inch Nails.
During the livestream, Freese spoke with Foo Fighters frontman and founder Dave Grohl about covering Top 40 hits in a band at Disneyland when he was 12.
Hawkins, who joined the Foo Fighters in 1997, died while on tour in Bogota, Colombia, in March last year.
The band is scheduled to kick off their summer tour at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, N.H., on Wednesday.
