L.A. District Attorney To Review Sexual Abuse Case Against Marilyn Manson

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office is now set to review the sexual abuse case against Marilyn Manson after detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Bureau submitted the case to L.A. District Attorney’s office.

The L.A. District Attorney’s office said that the investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department provided partial case material to the LADA pertaining to the sexual assault allegations against Brian Warner, also known as Marilyn Manson.

“There is more material that is still outstanding, however, we do not have a timeline for the additional submission from the LASD. Once we receive everything, experienced prosecutors will carefully and deliberatively review everything that has been submitted prior to making a filing decision,” the DA’s office said.

“The Brian Warner matter is still under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and has not yet been submitted to our office,” the Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón said in an update. “Please be assured that we are requesting regular updates on the status of the investigation.”

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department began investigating the abuse allegations made against Manson in February 2021.

Actor Evan Rachel Wood publicly accused Manson, her former partner, of abuse, claiming that he started grooming her when she was a teenager and “horrifically abused me for years.” Several other women then accused Manson of sexual abuse, grooming and manipulation.

Manson has denied all allegations, with his lawyers claiming that his accusers were “cynically and dishonestly seeking to monetize and exploit the #MeToo movement” by launching a “coordinated attack against him”.

He added that all of his intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners.
