Linkin Park‘s music video for their 2003 hit “Numb” has surpassed 2 billion views on YouTube, becoming the first visual from the band to hit the coveted milestone.
“Numb” was the third single from the band’s sophomore album, Meteora.
The “Numb” music video, directed by DJ Joe Hahn was first uploaded to the video streaming platform on March 5, 2007.
The video hit one billion views on YouTube in 2018, a year after fans launched an unofficial campaign following the death of frontman Chester Bennington on July 20, 2017. In March 2022, “Numb” reached one billion streams on Spotify.
“Numb” peaked at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Alternative Songs chart.
