Trent Reznor Quitting Twitter Over ‘Arrogance Of The Billionaire Class’

One more artist is leaving Twitter in protest against its new owner Elon Musk‘s policy decisions.

“I’m about to depart [Twitter],” Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor told The Hollywood Reporter.

“We don’t need the arrogance of the billionaire class to feel like they can just come in and solve everything. Even without him involved, I just find that it has become such a toxic environment. For my mental health, I need to tune out. I don’t feel good being there anymore,” added the Oscar-winning musician.

The Tesla founder, who took over Twitter last month, has laid off his employees en mass. Hundreds of others later resigned, unable to conform to his demand to work extra hours.

Reznor is the latest celebrity to deactivate their Twitter account following Musk’s hostile takeover of the social media platform.

Others to do so include Jack White, Toni Braxton, Sara Bareilles, Shonda Rhimes, Ellen Pompeo, Gigi Hadid and Whoopi Goldberg.
